Sri Lankan detained at Chennai airport, to be deported

A Sri Lankan national was detained by authorities at the airport here today on his arrival from Singapore, based on some information by Central Intelligence Bureau, airport sources said.

Selvanayagam Muniyandi was detained by immigration authorities at the airport, they said declining to divulge the reason for his detention.

He would be sent back to Singapore, the sources said.
