Steps to take up metro rail pjt during next fiscal:TN minister

Steps will be taken to take up metro rail project in the city during the next financial year, Tamil Nadu Municipal Administration Minister S P Velumani said today.

This was announced during a meeting with industrialists on implementing the GST, coming into effect from July one.

He also assured the industrialists of all possible help to solve their problems.

At a separate meeting, Velumani also discussed the issue of land acquisition for International airport expansion with the owners, an official release said.

Velumani told reporters that efforts are being taken to desilt Siruvani reservoir, major source of drinking water for the city.
