Sub-inspector arrested in graft case

A sub-inspector posted at the city's Brahampuri police station was arrested for taking a bribe of Rs 1 lakh, an Anti-Corruption Bureau official said Friday.

The accused police officer, Chhutan Lal, was arrested for demanding the bribe for a favour in a case, he said.

The complaint was verified and a trap was laid to arrest the accused.

A case has been registered under the Prevention of Corruption Act, the official said.
