Sugar bags stolen from truck on Delhi-Dehradun highway

Over 320 sugar bags were allegedly stolen from a truck by unidentified men at the Delhi-Dehradun highway near here, police said today.

According to the FIR lodged by the driver, 321 sugar bags were allegedly stolen from the truck by the assailants at gun-point yesterday, while the truck was on its way to Varanasi, Senior Superintendent of Police B L Shah said.

The sugar bags belonged to Morna sugar mill, he said.

Police are interrogating the truck driver and search is on for the absconding accused, he said.
