Sugar millgate prices up on increased offtake

Sugar millgate prices improved marginally by Rs 10 per quintal at the wholesale sugar market in national capital today on increased demand from bulk consumers and retailers to meet festive season demand.

Marketmen said pick-up in demand from stockists, bulk consumers, sweet-makers and confectioners ahead of festivals, mainly pushed up millgate prices.

In millgate section, sugar modinagar and Dhampur moved up by Rs 10 each to Rs 3,040 and Rs 3,000 per quintal.

Prices of Sakoti and Ramala also rose by Rs 10 each to Rs 3,040 and Rs 2,990 per quintal.

Sugar retail markets - Rs 32.00-35.00 per kg.

Sugar ready: M-30 Rs 3,140-3,340 S-30 Rs 3,130-3,330.

Mill delivery: M-30 Rs.3,010-3,190 S-30 Rs.3,000-3,180.

Sugar mill gate (including duty): Mawana Rs 3,125 Kinnoni Rs 3,190 Asmoli Rs 3,150 Dorala Rs 3,090 Budhana Rs 3,070 Thanabhavan Rs 3,060 Dhanora Rs 3,080 Simbholi Rs 3,180 Modi Nagar Rs 3,040 Khatuli Rs 3,150 Dhampur Rs 3,000 Ramala Rs 2,990 Bulandshahr Rs 3,080 Anupshahr Rs 3,010 Baghpat Rs 3,050 Morna Rs 3,050 Sakoti Rs 3,040 Chandpur Rs 3,060 and Nazibabad Rs 2,970.
