Noted social reformer and founder of Sulabh International, Bindeshwar Pathak, has been nominated as a Member of the Central Authority of National Legal Services Authority (NALSA).
Chief Justice of Jharkhand High Court, Justice Virendra Singh, was also nominated as a member along with Pathak, by the Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of India.
The nomination was notified in the Gazette after Central government consulted with the Chief Justice of India.
Pathak, 73, has pioneered in providing low cost sanitation in the country through his Sulabh movement and was recently appointed Brand Ambassador of Swachh Rail Mission.
