Leader of the Opposition in the West Bengal Assembly Suryakanta Mishra today criticised Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's five-day trip to Singapore to attract foreign investment.
"On the day the Chief Minister went to Singapore to bring industrial investment, we read in newspapers that an industry was shut down in the state. One by one, the industry is going to out of state," Mishra, also a senior CPI(M) leader said at a party rally here.
Mishra alleged that Banerjee made false promises to the farmers of Singur that she would return their land but she has not been able to return the land to the farmers till now.
He alleged that BJP is responsible for communal violence in Uttar Pradesh.
