A 13-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a shopkeeper in Shahpur town in the district, police said today.
According to the complaint lodged by the girl's family, the teenager yesterday went to the shop where the shopkeeper, Shahnawaz, took him inside it and raped her, they said.
He threatened her that she would be killed if she revealed the incident to any one.
On the basis of the complaint, a case was registered against Shahnawaz and arrested him, they said.
The victim has been sent for medical examination.
