Telangana IT and Industries Minister K T Rama Rao today held review meeting with the officials of State Pollution Control Board and representatives of industries in and around the capital.
According to an official release, the Minister instructed that the polluting industries should be moved out of the city and located beyond the outer ring road and the government has already identified 17 locations to move such industries.
"The land will be developed as clusters. Once they are ready the polluting industries will be moved out in phased manner," the release said quoting KTR.
Pharma and life sciences companies constitute majority of the polluting industries, it added.
