Maximum temperatures hovered around the normal levels in Punjab and Haryana today while a few areas were lashed by rains, a MeT report said.
Union Territory Chandigarh recorded rainfall of 1.5 mm while its maximum temperature was 34 deg C, a MeT department report said.
In Punjab, Amritsar received 9 mm rainfall and recorded a maximum temperature of 32.5 deg C, while Ludhiana and Patiala had maximum of 33.5 deg C and 33.4 deg C, respectively.

Among other places in Haryana, Ambala, Hisar, Karnal and Narnaul recorded maximum temperatures of 33.6 deg C, 36.3 deg C, 33 deg C and 33 deg C, respectively.
The MeT department has predicted light to moderate rain at few places in Punjab and Haryana in the next 24 hours.
