Tgana, AP to release water from Nagarjuna Sagar on Sunday

Telangana and Andhra Pradesh on Saturday decided to release water to farmers in both states from the Nagarjuna Sagar dam.

Telangana Education Minister G Jagadesh Reddy and Andhra Pradesh Irrigation Minister Anilkumar Yadav would jointly release the water by opening the gates, a release from the Telangana Chief Minister's office said

The Nagarjuna Sagar dam and other dams in Telangana have been receiving copious inflows following heavy rains in catchment areas over the past few days.
