Thoor dal prices fall sharply at wholesale foodgrains market

Thoor dal, moong dal and maida (90 kg) prices decreased while those of gram dal and sooji (90 kg) rose at the wholesale foodgrains market here today.

Thoor dal fell sharply by Rs 800 per quintal to Rs 8,000 from Rs 8,800 earlier.

Moong dal and Maida (90 kg) prices fell by Rs 100 to Rs 9,800(per quintal) and Rs 2,400 from its closing rates Rs 9,900 and Rs 2,500, respectively.

Gram dal was up by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 4,900 from its previous rate of Rs 4,800.

Prices of urad dal, sugar and wheat ruled steady.

Following are the wholesale rates of various agri commodities (in Rs per quintal, except where stated otherwise): Thoor Dal Rs 8,000, Urad Dal Rs 8,400, Moong Dal Rs 9,800, Gram Dal Rs 4,900, Sugar Rs 2,900, Wheat Rs 2,700, Maida (90 kg) Rs 2,400 and Sooji (90 kg) Rs 3,000.
