Three pavement dwellers killed, four injured in mishap

Three pavement dwellers, including two elderly women, were killed on the spot and four others injured after a speeding motorcycle ran over them early this morning, police said.

The incident occurred when a youth riding the two-wheeler reportedly lost control and ran over the victims, who were sleeping at Parry's Corner area, they said.

The deceased, including a man, were flower vendors, police said.

Three persons have been detained in this connection and a probe is on, they added.
