A 52-year-old woman was today mauled to death by a tiger in a village under South Bramhapuri forest range in Chandrapur district of Maharashtra, officials said.
The incident took place around 9 AM in compartment number 223 of the forest range in Halda village when the victim was busy collecting Tendu leaves.
The deceased has been identified as Shirsagar Gajanan Thakre and her body has been sent for postmortem, forest officials said.
