City-based Torero Corporation, which had acquired the exclusive license for manufacture of CROSS leather accessories, today launched a wide array of products in India.
Torero Corporation, which had a joint agreement with Spanish firm Merroquinerai, has set up a manufacturing base near the city and imports finished leather from Spain which is then converted into accessories.
"This is the first time the CROSS leather accessories will be made available in India. Overseas, these products are available in departmental stores like Harrods and Selfridges", director and CEO of Torero Yashovardhan Gupta said.
The iconic CROSS writing instruments has already gained wide acceptance among the executives and youth, he said, adding that the new product launches would now satisfy the aspiration of the Indians craving for luxury items in leather.
The products would also be available in e-commerce sites like Flipkart, Snapdeal, Amazon, Jabong and Myntra, he told reporters here today.
Gupta said that the design of the products was being done in Spain and the manufacturing facility employing around 4,000 people has also three Spanish managers.
