Welfare and Tourism Minister P Rajavelu today rode a bicycle along the beach with 60 volunteers of Chennai based NGO 'Cycling Yogis,' as part of their campaign to generate awareness and maintenance of heritage buildings and protect the environment.
The minister received them at the beach and rode with them to demonstrate the non polluting and environment friendly mode of conveyance of the common man.
Later flagging them off on their return trip, the minister said there was every need to protect the environment and also heritage buildings as they would add to the highlights of Puducherry.
