Tributes paid to Birsa Munda on his death anniversary

Jharkhand Governor Droupadi Murmu and Chief Minister Raghubar Das and other leaders paid floral tributes to Birsa Munda on his 116th death anniversary today.

Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, former chief minister Arjun Munda, BJP's in-charge for Jharkhand Trivendra Singh Rawat, MP Bhupendra Yadav and several other leaders also paid tributes to the tribal freedom fighter.

Munda had died here on June 9, 1900.

Paying tributes to Birsa Munda, BJP state president

Tala Marandi said Birsa Munda has not only fought against exploitation and atrocities, but also against evil practices in the society.

"BJP bows before this great man," a party release said quoting Marandi.
