Hitting out at the main opposition Congress, TRS leader and Telangana minister K T Rama Rao Saturday alleged the party is making "unrealistic promises" for the coming Assembly elections in the state.
Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president N Uttam Kumar Reddy made promises like loan waiver for farmers at one go, he alleged, speaking at an election meeting at Yellareddipet.
"If all the promises made by them are to be realised, even if the budgets of all states of southern India Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Telangana
are put together, the promises made by him (Reddy) cannot be fulfilled," Rama Rao, son of caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, said.
The Congress did not implement farm loan waiver at one go in states like Punjab where it is in power, but promised to do so in Telangana, he said.
However, it has been critical of the TRS government implementing farm loan waiver in instalments, he added.
He also slammed the proposed broad-based alliance among the Congress, TDP and other parties for the assembly elections.
