Truck driver arrested with 14 kgs of Naag Chatri in Jammu

A truck driver has been arrested and 14 kgs of herbal plant Naag Chatri recovered from his procession in outskirts of Jammu district, police said.

Police intercepted a truck at Chowki Choura in Akhnoor belt of Jammu district yesterday, and during the checking of the vehicle, 14 kgs of Naag Chatri was recovered and the driver, identified as Shabir Ahmed was arrested, they said.

A case under Forest Act was registered at Police Station Akhnoor and further investigation is on, they said.
