Trying to take pic on mobile near track proves fatal for boy

Press Trust of India  |  Coimbatore

An 18-year-old boy was run over by a goods train and another seriously injured when they were trying to take a 'selfie' near a railway track on the city outskirts today, police said.

The boys, both studying at a private college, noticed the train approaching and attempted to click pictures using a mobile phone. However, they were knocked down, they said.

Passers-by rushed the injured students to hospital but one of them succumbed to his injuries there, police added.
