Two persons died after consuming spurious liquor at Kunnamangalam, about 15 km from here, police said today.
Two others are undergoing treatment in a serious condition at the Kozhikode Medical college Hospital (KMCH), they added.
The deceased, identified as Balan (54) and Sandeep (37), consumed the spurious liquor last night along with four others after work, Kunnamangalam police said.
They were rushed to KMCH as they complained of uneasiness. Balan died on the way to the hospital and Sandeep lost his life today after being admitted to hospital, they said.
Sandeep, who was working as a security personnel at a private hospital, had brought the liquor.
While two persons, who are in serious condition, are undergoing treatment at KMCH, two others have been discharged after treatment, police said, adding, investigations were on.
