Two forest officials arrested for taking bribe

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) today arrested two forest officers after catching them red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 12,000 at Chodavaram in the district.

Forest Range Officer R Vigneswarudu and technical field assistant Manibabu took the bribe from the complainant for hand-over of the transport permit for teak wood logs, issued by Divisional Forest Officer, said Deputy Superintendent of Police (ACB), Visakhapatnam, M Narasimha Rao.
