Two held with country-made pistol

Two persons were today arrested for possessing a country-made pistol from Vashi here, police said.

Acting on a tip off, detection branch of Vashi police laid a trap and nabbed the duo - Matin Nuruddin Khan and Badarul Khan - at 06.50 AM, a senior police official said.

A country made revolver was seized from their possession. A case under relevant sections of the Arms Act was registered, he said.

The duo was produced before a Magistrate, who remanded them in police custody till March 9, said the officer.
