Two Meghalaya millitants arrested from city

Two millitants of banned Hynniewtrep National Liberation Council (HNLC) of Meghalaya were arrested from a flat at Kalikapur area of Kolkata.

Acting on a tipoff, the Special Task Force (STF) of Kolkata Police arrested the two on early morning Wednesday.

The two were identified as Phyrmailang Swer and Nandkishore Thakur, police said.

The organisation is said to have close links with separtist organisation Kamtapur Liberation Organisation.
