Two persons were axed to death allegedly by a member of their family following a dispute over money in Mau village under Marka police station area here.
Saligram Singh (70) had recently sold his flour mill and his younger son Mahendra was asking for his share which the former had denied, police said.
Last night Mahendra killed his father with an axe and his sister-in-law Saroj (40) who rushed to help was also injured in the attack, police said, adding that she succumbed to injuries while being taken to hospital.
The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination and a hunt launched to nab the culprit.
