Two powerful landmines recovered in Palamau district

Security personnel today recovered two powerful landmines during an anti-naxal operation in Palamau district, police said.

Superintendent of Police, Indrajeet Mahatha told newsmen that the recovery was made during a special operation launched by Jharkhand Jaguar and District Armed Police against the ultra outfit.

The landmines, weighing 12 kg each, were kept hidden, the SP said adding that the explosives have been defused.
