Two Punjab residents arrested with 14 kg poppy in Jammu

Two residents of Punjab were arrested here today and 14 kg of poppy was recovered from them, the police said.

Two people roaming under suspicious circumstances in Digiana area here were intercepted and subjected to search which led to the recovery of 6 kgs and 8 kg of poppy from them, a police officer said.

The accused have been identified as Lukhvinder Singh and Rinku Singh, he added.

A case has been registered against the duo, the police officer said.
