Two siblings drown in Ujad river

Two minor siblings today drowned in a river where they had gone to take bath in Jhalawar district, police said.

Accompanied by their grandmother, Dharampal (6) and Neeta (4) had gone to the river, in Ratlai village under Bakani area, where they slipped and drowned into deep waters, SHO Nand Kishore said.

The locals present at the spot attempted to save the drowning kids but failed, police said, adding the bodies have been sent to the general hospital for postmortem.
