Two students arrested for beating SI at police outpost

A sub-inspector was allegedly beaten up by two college students while he was questioning them at a police outpost in Dum Dum area of North 24 Parganas district, a police officer said today.

The sub-inspector of Ghughu police outpost under Dum Dum police was yesterday questioning the two students with regard to violence in their college when they became agitated and attacked the sub-inspector, the officer said.

The two student have been arrested for attacking the sub-inspector, the officer added.
