Two youths aged around 22 to 25 today drowned in the sea at Suvalli beach near Hazira here today, police said.
"Two youths, aged between 22 to 25, drowned at Suvali beach this evening," inspector K M Chaudhari of Hazira police station said.
The deceased were identified as Ashok and Premji, both diamond workers who lived in Ramjinagar area near Katargam,.
While playing in the water, they got caught in high tide and were pulled into the deep waters. Some onlookers informed the police and fire brigade.
Fire brigade team fished out their bodies later.
