UP govt to set up forensic, special cyber labs

The Uttar Pradesh government will set up forensic labs at regional levels as well as special cyber labs to rein in the criminal elements in the state and improve the quality of investigation.

Addressing a joint press conference here, Principal Secretary (Home) Arvind Kumar and DGP Sulkhan Singh said the infrastructure of State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) will also be upgraded with modern equipment.

On the law and order front, the Principal Secretary said full freedom has been given to field officers to take action without any bias and political interference.
