Uttar Pradesh police today said that it would take remand of the nine persons accused of abducting a doctor couple from Gaya in Bihar.
"We will try to take the accused on remand as we have to extract some major information from them," Inspector General, UP Special Task Force, Sujeet Pandey told reporters here.
The accused have been sent to jail, he said.

The IG said that the apartment, in which the couple was held captive, was in the name of an NRI, adding the main accused had another rented accomodation, but nothing substanial was found from there.
He further said that the lead in this case was taken from the last abduction by the gang in which a ransom of Rs 5.5 crore was demanded.
Pandey, however, refused to divulge further details, saying it could hamper the investigation.
UP STF yesterday arrested the nine members of the notorious gang of kidnappers, led by kingpin Ajay Singh, from Sharda Apartments in Gomti Nagar area here.
The accused used to keep the hostages there and police uniforms, two cars, and other goods used by them were recovered, UP DGP, A K Jain had said.
The doctor couple, Pankaj Gupta and Shubhra Gupta, returned home in Gaya yesterday.
