UPSRTC driver crushed to death in mishap

A 51-year-old driver of the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) was allegedly crushed to death by a bus in Sahibabad depot here today, police said.

Roshan Lal was killed when the rashly-driven bus by his co-worker Mahendra Lal (35) ran him over at the depot, Assistant Superintendent of Police Vipin Tada said.

The accused managed to flee the spot, he said.

A case has been registered, he said, adding efforts are on to nab the absconding accused.

In a separate incident, putrefied body of an unidentified youth was today found by Mussoorie police in Gang Nahar near Hasanpur here, police said.
 

The deceased's right hand bore tattoos reading 'MK' in English and 'Manoj' in Hindi, Station House Officer A P Singh said, adding efforts are on to establish his identity.
