Cardamom prices rebounded by 0.57 per cent to Rs 1,605 per kg in futures trade today as traders built up fresh positions amid an upsurge in demand in the domestic spot market.
Besides, tight stocks position on fall in arrivals from producing regions fuelled the uptrend.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in far-month March went up by Rs 9.10, or 0.57 per cent to Rs 1,605 per kg in a business turnover of 1 lot.

Likewise, the spice for delivery in February edged higher by Rs 5.40, or 0.35 per cent to Rs 1,562.90 per kg in 13 lots.
Traders said, fresh positions created by participants due to pick-up in demand in the spot market against tight stocks position on restricted supplies from producing regions, mainly led to rise in cardamom prices at futures trade.
