US 'launches airstrike' after apparent insider attack

US Forces carried out an airstrike on an militia after an apparent insider attack in eastern Afghanistan, sources have said, killing as many as 13 fighters.

The incident occurred yesterday as US soldiers were patrolling in the Islamic State-in province, according to Hakim Khan, a of the militia involved in the incident.
