Vadodara: hotel industry associations launch food testing lab

The Federation of Hotel and Restaurant Association of India and Hotel and Restaurant Association, Western India (HRAWI) today jointly launched a non-commercial food testing lab here.

D S Advani, president, HRAWI, said with the introduction of Food Safety and Standards Act, a food testing facility had become a necessity for the hotelling and food industry.

He claimed that no other industry association had such a laboratory, and this lab would offer services at 40-50 per cent discount compared to commercial labs.

HRAWI was planning to set up more such labs in western India, he added.
