VC in charge appointed for women's university

Dr Premavathi Vijayan has been appointed as Vice-Chancellor in-charge of Avanashilingam University for Women here, following completion of the 5-year tenure of Sheela Ramachandran as VC.

Padmavathi, Dean, Faculty of Education in the university was appointed by Chancellor T S K Meenakshisundaram, as in-charge till the new vice-chancellor took charge.

The selection of the new vice-chancellor is under process, an official release said.
