A village head in Haryana was today suspended for allegedly furnishing fake educational certificates for contesting panchayat polls.
Ramgarh village Sarpanch Sunita Devi was suspended by Deputy Commissioner Parabhjot Singh after an inquiry it was found that the educational certificates she had furnished for the panchayat polls were fake, official said.
Eight other complaints against village sarpanches had also been received, the official said, adding that notices have been issued issued in this regard and the matter would be taken up with the deputy commissioner.
