A 45-year-old woman and her teenaged daughter were killed allegedly by the members of the ultra outfit People's Liberation Front of India (PLFI) in Silda Bududih village under Khunti police station of Khunti district, DIG (Ranchi) Praveen Kumar Singh today said.
Laced with fire-arms, a group of six PLFI operatives arrived in the village last night and dragged the victim Gangi Devi out of her house before killing her some away with a sharp weapon, he said.
The ultras also caught hold of Gangi's 18-year-old daughter, Phoolmani Kumari by her hair and dragged her to a distance away before she too was murdered in a similar fashion, Singh said adding the exact motive behind the killings could not be ascertained.

A police team rushed to the spot today morning and recovered the bodies, he said.
An FIR against an ultra Dinesh Sahu and five others was registered in this connection, Singh added.
