A 33-year-old woman was killed by a tiger in Solada Village, about 30 kms from here.
The woman had gone to a shop to buy provisions last evening but did not return home. Her relatives and friends searched for her all through the night, but could not trace her, forest officials said.
They resumed their search in the morning and found the woman's blood stained slippers some distance away from her house. The woman's mauled body was found nearby.
Villagers claimed they had heard the screams of the woman and the roar of the tiger last night.
