Woman passenger dies on board flight

A woman flier suffered a heart attack and died on board an aircraft before the flight landed at the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) here.

Officials said the incident was reported yesterday around 6:15 PM when the flight coming from Guwahati made an emergency landing as the 79-year-old woman had become unconscious on board.

"She suffered a cardiac arrest and doctors said she had died on the flight. The body was later handed over to Delhi Police for postmortem and further procedures," they said.
