Woman poisons children, commits suicide

The bodies of Vimla (32) and her two sons, Narain (11) and Hariom (aged below 10), were found today after neighbours informed the police that a foul smell was emanating from the house.

Vimla, who lived alone with her sons, was purportedly depressed over some personal issues, police said.

She allegedly administered some poisonous substance to her children two days ago, before committing suicide, they said.

The bodies have been sent for postmortem examination to ascertain the exact cause of death.
