In a shocking incident, the body of a 56-year-old woman in UK was found gnawed and eaten by her cats after the corpse lay undiscovered in her isolated home for two months.
Janet Veal's body was recovered from the kitchen of her house, two months after she died, along with a number of dead and alive cats and dogs.
The animals had been trapped in a confined space with the body and apparently they had not been fed for months.

Officers on the scene described how Veal's corpse had been "gnawed and eaten" by the pets, 'London Evening Standard' reported.
Southampton Coroner's Court heard that neighbours had notified police after not seeing her for some time but confirmed that Veal had died of natural causes.
Veal's medical record showed a deep history of chest problems and, pathologist concluded that the death was probably a result of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
The autopsy, however, proved "extremely difficult" due decomposition and missing flesh, the report said.
Officer Dave Ivey found the woman's body and noted that the animals were unable to escape the two rooms where Veal had died.
"These animals had been, the officer thought, confined in these two rooms downstairs for what may well have been a period of many weeks, stretching quite possibly into several months," Coroner Keith Wiseman said.
"It was clear that certain parts of Mrs Veal's body were missing and had, the officer formed the view, effectively been gnawed and eaten away by the animals," Wiseman said.
