A 30-year-old woman was allegedly raped in her house in Sanjay Enclave area of the city following which police arrested the accused.
The incident took place late last evening when the woman was alone at her house and the accused, Bhagat Singh, paid her a visit, a police spokesperson said.
Singh, who was known to the victim, asked her for a glass of water. When she went to fetch it, he followed her inside and raped her, police said.
The accused had also threatened to kill the woman.
The victim lodged a complaint with the police yesterday after which a case under IPC section 376 (rape) was registered against Singh, police said, adding, the accused was immediately arrested.
