World Bank sets new poverty reduction goal

The World Bank president has set a new goal of reducing extreme poverty to 9 percent by 2020.
Jim Yong Kim said at a news conference on Thursday that 400 million children are still among the world's most extreme poor, living on under USD 1.25 per day.
Six months ago, the World Bank set a goal of eliminating extreme poverty worldwide by 2030.
