Youth commits suicide in UP

A 19-year-old boy allegedly committed suicide in Bhimpura area of the district after his family did not permit him to marry his girlfriend, police said today.

The deceased has been identified as Vishal. He committed suicide in Ismailpur Ghaghila village yesterday by consuming some poisonous substance, Additional Superintendent of Police K C Goswami said.

Vishal was in a relationship with daughter of a relative. Both the families were opposed to the marriage, he added.

His body has been sent for post-mortem, he said.
