Youth electrocuted to death in UP

A 22-year-old man was electrocuted to death after coming in contact with a live wire near Itari village in Pilua police station area here, police said today.

The victim was identified as Azizurahaman, who worked for an engineering company. He had yesterday climbed the electric pole for some work when he got electrocuted and collapsed to the ground after coming in contact with a live wire, they said.

He was rushed to a hospital where doctors declared him brought dead, they said.

The victim hailed from Malda district in West Bengal and was working here in one Megha Engineering Company, they said.
 

The body was handed over to the victim's companions after postmortem, they said.
