A youth has been taken into custody here today for allegedly posting objectionable message on messaging application Whatsapp.
The accused, identified as Ravi Sharma (about 21 years old), has been taken into custody, Awanishwar Chandra Srivastava, Deputy Police Superintendent (Mohammadi) said.
Angered by the post, dozens of locals held demonstration outside Sharma's house in Amirnagar village here and tried to block road traffic.
The police officer said that a case would be lodged under appropriate sections in this connection.
