YSR Congress complained to the Andhra Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer alleging that Congress candidate from Kakinada Lok Sabha, Union Minister M M Pallam Raju, has violated election laws by canvassing in a government hospital though the time for campaigning ended.

"We would like to bring to your kind notice that Central Cabinet Minister Pallam Raju, a candidate from Kakinada Lok Sabha constituency contesting on behalf of Indian National Congress committed a serious offence by canvassing at Kakinada General Hospital today at 11.30 AM, less than 48 hours before voting for general elections ended," YSR Congress state co-ordinator PNV Prasad said in a complaint to the CEO.

He dermanded that Raju be disqualified from contesting for violating election laws.

YSR Congress also made separate complaints against actor N Balakrishna, who is contesting from Hindupur assembly seat in Anantapur district and Telugu Desam Party leader Y S Chowdary, for alleged violation of different laws.

Polling is scheduled in Seemandhra tomorrow for 175 assembly and 25 Lok Sabha constituencies.
