Zinc futures down on subdued demand

Zinc futures traded marginally lower on Tuesday as speculators reduced exposure amid subdued demand in spot market.
Zinc contracts for October delivery fell by 15 paise, or 0.08 per cent, to Rs 185.65 per kg in 1,194 lots on the Multi Commodity Exchange.
Similar trend was seen for November, zinc contracts traded lower by 25 paise, or 0.13 per cent, at Rs 188.25 per kg in 171 lots.
Traders said weakness in zinc futures was mostly due to cutting down of bets by speculators on subdued trend in spot market.
